The petitioner has assailed the order passed by the learned Sessions Judge, 1st Court, Siliguri on 15th November, 2017 in Sessions case no. 19 of 2015 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him.
Heard learned counsels for the parties.
It appears that the petitioner was on bail and failed to appear before the learned trial Court on 15th November, 2017 without steps for which warrant of arrest was issued against him. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned trial Court within a fortnight from date.
If the petitioner surrenders before the learned trial Court within a fortnight from date and files an application for bail, the learned trial Court shall deal with the same in accordance with law. In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned trial Court within the stipulated time frame, the learned trial Court shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law.
Warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner be stayed till 6th January, 2025.
CRR 305 of 2024 is disposed of.
