Affidavit of compliance filed today is taken on record. The Chairman of the Jalpaiguri Municipality has passed a reasoned order giving a detailed calculation as to the amount payable to the petitioner. According to the alleged contemnor, a sum of Rs.26,58,331.00 is the admissible due. The detail of the sum has been provided in the reasoned order.

If the petitioner is aggrieved with the quantum calculated by the authority, the remedy of the petitioner will be to challenge the said order before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law.

Under such circumstances, the contempt application is disposed of and the contempt proceedings are dropped. (Shampa Sarkar, J.)
