The present appeal arises at the behest of the wife against a divorce decree obtained by the respondent/husband.

On earlier occasions, it was submitted by the erstwhile learned Advocate for the appellant that despite best efforts, the said learned Advocate was unable to contact his client, the appellant.

Accordingly, administrative notices were directed to be issued.

From the office report dated May 07, 2026, we find that administrative notices have been served upon the appellant and the respondent through the concerned police stations respectively.

Since, despite several futile attempts on the part of the erstwhile learned Advocate to contact the

appellant and administrative notice having been served on the appellant, the appellant chooses to abstain at the time of hearing, it is clear to the Court that the appellant is no longer interested in proceeding with the appeal.

Accordingly, FA 7 of 2024 is dismissed for default without any order as to costs.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

Connected pending application(s), if any, stand disposed of consequentially.
