The petitioner has admittedly been absconding since 20th September, 2021.

Learned counsel appearing for the prosecution submits that the IO has prayed for a warrant of arrest against the petitioner sometime in October, 2022.

Since the petitioner is absconding for almost two years and on the fact that the petitioner has been named by the co-accused who is in custody, we are not inclined to allow the prayer for anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 620 of 2023 is accordingly rejected and disposed of for the above reasons. (PRASENJIT BISWAS, J.) (MOUSHUMI BHATTACHARYA, J.)
