Mr. Aditi Shankar Chakraborty, learned APP Mr. Ujjwal Luksom ... for the State This petition has been filed to grant pre-arrest bail on the ground that the name of the petitioner has appeared only in the statement of the co-accused. Learned counsel for the state submits that coaccused Prasenjit Das has been arrested and from whose possession Rs.35,000/- have been recovered. Learned counsel further submits that the name of the petitioner has appeared in the statement of the arrested accused. Learned counsel further submits that that custodial interrogation is necessary in the present case.

The Court, at this stage, considers that since the investigation is still continuing and the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary for completion of the investigation, the petitioner is not entitled to grant to anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
