And In Re: Goutam Sarkar Petitioner Mr. Sudip Guha For the Petitioner Mr. Kallol Acharjee Mr. Tapan Bhattacharjee For the State In view of the statement of the witnesses recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure directly implicating the petitioner in the commission of alleged offence and having regard to the fact that the charge-sheet has already been filed, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Since the charge-sheet has already been filed, we direct the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Cooch Behar to take appropriate steps for committal. The application for bail is, thus, rejected and CRM 1177 of 2021 is accordingly, disposed of.
