The Siliguri Municipal Corporation is represented by its learned advocate.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the private respondents are carrying on illegal construction on a property being RS Plot No.

321/864, recorded in Khatian No. 583, Sheet No. 8, Mouza - Dabgram, in the district of Jalpaiguri. The petitioner claims to have submitted a complaint

dated August 4, 2025. The petitioner alleges that no steps have been taken pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner with regard to unauthorized construction.

Learned advocate appearing for the Siliguri Municipal Corporation submits that immediate steps shall be taken pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner.

In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate appearing for the respective parties the writ petition stands disposed of by requesting the Commissioner, Siliguri Municipal Corporation, being the 3rd respondent herein, to depute competent officials for the purpose of inspection of the property wherein illegal construction is alleged to be going on and take steps in accordance with law. In the event any illegal construction is found to have been made, the competent authority of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation shall initiate appropriate proceeding in accordance with law and ensure that the same is taken to its logical end within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order.
