Apprehending arrest in connection with Jaigaon Police Station Case No.35 of 2022 dated 25.02.2022 under Section 22(c) of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, the present application is preferred praying for anticipatory bail.

Heard the learned lawyer for the petitioner as well as the learned Public Prosecutor.

Charge-sheet has been filed. The present petitioner is now in the chargesheet and he is absconding. Accordingly, we are not inclined to exercise discretion in his favour. As such, his prayer for bail is refused.

The application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 535 of 2022, is accordingly, dismissed.
