REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 689 of 2024 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Boxirhat Police Station Case No. 221 of 2024 dated 22.05.2024 under Sections 6/17 of the POCSO Act, 2012 and read with Section 9/11 of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006.

...... petitioners Ms. M. Das ...for the petitioners Mr. Nilay Chakraborty, Ld. A.P.P., Mr. Dhiman Sil .... for the State Victim is a minor. Petitioner no. 1 and the victim apparently are married.

Victim does not implicate any of the petitioners before us in any offence.

However, victim was admitted with pregnancy at a Government hospital who had lodged the complaint with the police.

In view of the pregnancy of the victim, who is a minor, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to any of the petitioners

before us and the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application being CRM (A) 689 of 2024 is dismissed. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Md. Shabbar Rashidi, J.)
