Mr. Jagriti Mishra, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that he has been appointed by the Prodhan, Mahishkuchi - I Gram Panchanyat, Cooch Behar, the respondent no.7 herein as Skilled Technical Person (STP) under Mahishkuchi - I Gram Panchanyat under Tufanganj -II Block. His engagement was renewed on 18th March, 2020. Furthermore, the petitioner has been rendering his service as STP under the said gram panchayat. Unfortunately, the petitioner has not been paid for the service he has already

rendered. Accordingly, without finding any alternative the petitioner made a representation to the District Nodal Officer (MGNREGA), District Magistrate Office, Cooch Behar, the respondent no.5 herein.

That being the scenario, I direct the District Nodal Officer (MGNREGA), District Magistrate Office, Cooch Behar, the respondent no.5 to consider and take a decision in accordance with law in respect of the petitioner's representation dated 12th June, 2020 within eight weeks from the date after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and thereafter communicate the decision to the petitioner within one week. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Accordingly, the application being CAN 1 of 2020 is also disposed of.
