The land of the petitioner is submitted to be acquired for construction of the National Highway. The petitioner is yet to receive compensation.

A representation has been filed by the petitioner before the Special Land Acquisition Officer which is pending consideration.

Without entering into the merits of the prayer of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 6 being the Special Land Acquisition Collector, Cooch Behar to consider and disposed of the representation filed by the petitioner in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If the claim of the petitioner appears to be proper, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the authority without any delay.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward all documents in support of the prayer of the petitioner to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
