1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an allegation was levelled against several people out of whom some have obtained bail and one, on an equal footing as the present petitioner, has been granted the favour of anticipatory bail. Hence, it is submitted that the petitioners may also be granted the same relief.

2. Keeping in view the fact that one person standing on equal footing has already obtained anticipatory bail and others have been granted bail, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners as well.

3. Accordingly, CRM (A) 689 of 2023 is allowed, thereby granting anticipatory bail to the petitioners subject to compliance of the stipulations in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

4. In the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail subject to furnishing bonds of Rs.10,000/- each, with two sureties, one of whom may be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, and on further condition that the petitioners shall meet the Investigating Officer once a month.
