1. CRAN 1 of 2024 is an application for relaxation of conditions for grant of anticipatory bail, imposed by an order dated September 24, 2024.

2. The prayer is that the condition that the petitioner shall not enter the jurisdiction of Darjeeling District during the period of investigation and trial, except for attending court or for the purpose of investigation, be relaxed. The petitioner is 24 years old and is in financial hardship in maintaining himself outside his home. It is further submitted that the petitioner used to work in a grocery shop in Bagdogra and is unemployed at the moment. It is further submitted that the other co-accused persons have already been released by this court.

3. Considering the submissions, this court is of the view that the condition imposed can be relaxed only to the extent that the petitioner may enter the jurisdiction of Darjeeling district

provided he reports to the Officer-in-Charge, Bagdogra Police Station once a week till conclusion of the investigation. All other conditions as per the direction of the order dated September 24, 2024, shall remain unaltered.
