Learned counsel for the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking the writ of Mandamus against the respondents to issue an order for payment of unpaid CAS as 20 years benefit in favour of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has preferred a representation before the Managing Director, North Bengal State Transport Corporation, (NBSTC), CoochBehar. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that he shall be satisfied if his representation is decided by the respondent no.3.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.3 states that the corporation shall decide the representation of the petitioner dated 14th July, 2023. In view of the above, the instant writ petition being WPA 2000 of 2023 is disposed of by directing

the respondent no.3 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 14th July, 2023 and also treating the writ petition as representation and pass a speaking order within a period of six weeks from today after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The respondent no 3 is also directed to communicate the speaking order to the petitioner within a week from the date of passing such order. Liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge the speaking order if he is aggrieved by the same. Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates appearing for the parties expeditiously subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
