The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the ADSR Maynaguri in not providing the certified copy of the deed being no. 2996, pages 61 to 62 of volume 29 under Book 1 for the year 1953 registered in the Sub-Registry Office of Maynaguri.

The application for obtaining the certified copy was filed in January 2024 but the certified copy is yet to be provided to the applicant.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that though the deed in question was registered in the office of the Additional District Sub Registrar at Maynaguri but the documents was thereafter transferred to the office of the District Registrar, Jalpaiguri. The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Additional District Sub Registrar, Maynaguri to proceed to provide the certified copy of the

aforesaid document as sought for at the earliest but positively within a period of sixty days from the date of communication of this order.

The aforesaid respondent respondents are directed to trace out the documents in question and provide certified copy of the same to the applicant. In the event, the volume copy is unavailable the same shall be intimated to the applicant.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of usual legal formalities.
