The contemnor being the erstwhile Additional Secretary, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development and presently the Special Secretary Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of West Bengal, is present virtually.

It has been submitted by him that the Special Leave Petition filed assailing the subject order stood dismissed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on April 2, 2026. He prays for some time to comply the direction passed by this Court.

The contemnor has been made aware that the order was passed in October 2024 and the time to comply the same elapsed long back.

However, on the prayer of the contemnor to comply the same within a period of three weeks, hearing of the contempt application stands adjourned till July 16, 2026.

Affidavit of compliance shall be prepared and circulated prior to the returnable date.

The contemnor shall remain virtually present on the returnable date.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
