Although, it is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody for 287 days, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, considering the gravity of the offence as revealed from the materials placed before us. Accordingly, the application being CRM (DB) 381 of 2022 is rejected.

We, however, deem it fit to direct the learned Court below to make an effort in expediting the appeal and ensure that the trial reaches its logical conclusion preferably within a period of four months from today.
