1. Daughter of the appellant died an unnatural death. Police complaint was lodged by the appellant. Police case resulted in the impugned judgment of acquittal. Appellant seeks leave to prefer an appeal.

2. Appellant falls within the expansive meaning of <victim= and therefore, can prefer a regular appeal without seeking special leave to file the appeal.

3. In such view, the present application is disposed of by permitting the learned advocate for the appellant to obtain

the certified copy of the impugned judgment of acquittal, by replacing the same with duly authenticated copy.
