The petitioner alleges violation of the order passed by this court on October 4, 2024.

Learned counsel representing the alleged contemnors produces a copy of the reasoned order dated November 19, 2024 passed by the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer (RGRO). It appears therefrom that there is no due in respect of the service connection having consumer ID No.401276556 standing in the name of Sailesh Prasad.

The petitioner alleges that due to non-payment of the electricity charges, the Distribution Company Limited disconnected his electric supply.

The aforesaid contention of the petitioner is denied by learned counsel on behalf of the Distribution Company Limited by saying that the reasoned order

of the RGRO mentions that future bills will be raised upon spot reading to be taken in the presence of the consumer. Though the petitioner is not a registered consumer, even then the meter reading was taken in the presence of the petitioner. The meter was found to be functional.

The petitioner is not aware as to who has disconnected his electric supply. He claims to be a tenant under the said Sailesh Prasad.

As it appears that there is no violation of the order as complained of, accordingly, there is no requirement of proceeding with the contempt application any further. The same stands disposed of.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the competent forum for remedy, if so advised.

Let a copy of the reasoned order dated November 19, 2024 be served upon the learned counsel for the petitioner.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
