Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the contemnors produces copy of the reasoned order dated 22nd June, 2023 before this Court passed by the Executive Director, Education Department, GTA, Darjeeling.

It appears therefrom that the prayer of the petitioner was considered and rejected.

Vide order dated 28th February, 2023, the authority was directed to take necessary consequential steps pursuant to the order passed by the District Inspector of Schools (PE), GTA Darjeeling.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that there was no scope and/or occasion on the part of the authority to reconsider the matter afresh and pass a reasoned order.

Be that as it may, the legality and validity of the order passed by the authority on 22nd June, 2023 cannot be adjudicated in the contempt jurisdiction.

It will be open for the petitioners to challenge the reasoned order in accordance with law before the competent forum.

The contempt application stands disposed of.

9.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
