And In Re :
Kailash Baraik ... Petitioner.
Adv. Subham Ghosh (through VC), Adv. Mayank Roy, ... for the petitioner.
Adv. Kallal Acharya (through VC), Adv. Kallal Nag, ... for the State.
The petitioner is in custody for more than 100 days and prays for bail solely on the ground of his incarceration. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the progress in trial is very slow. His further detention is not required. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record.
The material on record implicates the petitioner. The meat that was cooked in the forest by the petitioner and others has been confirmed to be deer meat.
Considering the material on record prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.
The learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. The application for bail is disposed of.
Case Diary be returned.
