Apprehending arrest in connection with Kuchlibari Police Station Case no.141 of 2023 dated 07.10.2023 under Sections 447/188/186/353/332/333/379/411 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 read with Section 11(i)(d) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, the present application has been preferred. Ms. Patra, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the accused persons, similarly situated with the petitioner, have already been granted bail. Upon completion of investigation chargesheet has also been submitted. The allegations levelled are omnibus in nature. In the said conspectus, the petitioner may be granted anticipatory bail on any condition. Mr. Biswas, learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioner's prayer and submits that there are strong incriminating materials on record against the petitioner.

Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties.

Considering the statement of the witnesses, the injury report and the role attributed to the petitioner, I am not inclined to exercise discretion in his favour.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 797 of 2025, is dismissed.
