The trial is in progress. It appears from the report that, the prosecution examined 11 witnesses. A doctor who is scheduled to be examined on behalf of the prosecution could not be examined on the date fixed due to the illness of the doctor.

It appears from the report that the next date for examination of the Investigating Officer is fixed on November 23, 2023.

Since the trial is in progress and the evidence on behalf of the prosecution is at the fag end, it would be inappropriate to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage.

We request the learned trial Judge, to adhere to the earlier direction of the Court for expeditious disposal of the trial. He is requested not to grant any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties. Since the petitioner is insisting on expeditious disposal of the trial, he will not allow any prayers for adjournment made on behalf of the petitioner during the trial.

CRM (DB) 601 of 2023 is dismissed.
