The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of Chhat Dhulia Ramsundar SC, Primary School under Mekhliganj Circle within the jurisdiction of Coochbehar District Primary School Council. The petitioner claimed to have submitted an application for general transfer to a school near to the residence of the petitioner on the ground of distance by letter dated September 16, 2025 before the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Coochbehar being the respondent No.6 herein.

The grievance of the petitioner is that till date, no such decision on such application has been communicated to the petitioner.

Without entering into the merits of the claim made in the representation dated September 16, 2025, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Chairman, District Primary School

Council, Coochbehar being the respondent No.6 herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated September 16, 2025 which is annexed at page 18 of the writ petition and to dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated September 16, 2025. There will be no order as to costs.
