Commercial quantity of contraband items were recovered from the joint possession of these petitioners. In view of the restrictions in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to allow the petitioners' prayer for bail.

The prayer for bail is rejected.

CRM (NDPS) 468 of 2024 is dismissed.

However, considering that the petitioners are in custody for 260 days, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the extent possible.

The parties shall communicate this order to the learned Trial Court.
