The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of Nagar Lalbazar 5th Plan Primary School under Sitalkuchi East Circle within the jurisdiction of District Primary School Council, Coochbehar. The petitioner claims to have submitted an application for general transfer on the ground of distance as well as on medical ground to a school near to the residence of the petitioner before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education as well as the Chairperson DPSC, Coochbehar. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date no decision on such application has been communicated to the petitioner.

Without entering into the merits of the claim made in the representation dated September 19, 2025, this writ petition stands

disposed of by directing the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, being the respondent no. 4, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated September 19,, 2025 which is annexed at page 28 of the writ petition and to dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated September 19,, 2025.
