Order dictated by Arijit Banerjee, J.:

The petitioner says that he has been falsely implicated in this case. There was a love relationship between him and the victim girl. Coming to know of the same, the petitioner's mother went to the victim girl's house and admonished her. This led to the victim girl committing suicide by hanging. The petitioner has no role to play in the alleged offence.

Opposing the prayer, learned State Advocate says that investigation is going on. Material may be collected against the petitioner indicating his involvement in the alleged offence. 3.

Having considered the nature of the charge and the facts and circumstance of the case, we are of the view that immediate custodial interrogation of the petitioner may not be necessary so long as he cooperates fully with the Investigating Officer.

Accordingly, in the event of arrest, the petitioner, namely, Satyajit Barman, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and shall abide by the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure until further orders and on further condition that the petitioner shall report to the Investigating Officer of the concerned Police Station once in a fortnight until further orders. The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdictional trial court.

5. In case the petitioner fails to adhere to any of the conditions mentioned in Section 438(2) of the Code, the learned Court below shall be entitled to cancel the anticipatory bail without further reference to this Court.

CRM (A) 850 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of.
