This is an application seeking relaxation in the conditions of bail.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that by an order granting bail the petitioner was directed to report to the officer in charge/inspector in charge of the Ghoksadanga police station twice a week until further orders. The petitioner has prayed for relaxation of such condition.

It is submitted on behalf of the learned advocate for the State that charge sheet has already been submitted in the case. He opposes the prayer.

It transpires from the order dated November 14, 2024 that the petitioner was released subject to conditions including the condition that the petitioner shall report to the officer in charge/inspector in charge of Ghoksadanga police station twice a week. This is a case under Sections 126(2)/118(1)/117(2)/118(2)/

109/351(3)/3(5) of the BNS. It is informed that the charges stood framed.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the stage of trial and the offences involved in the case, the order granting bail dated November 14, 2024 directing the petitioner to report to the officer in charge of Ghoksadanga police station twice a week is modified to once in a month. Other conditions in the order granting bail dated November 14, 2024 shall remain the same. The condition of bail in the order dated November 14, 2024 is modified to extent indicated hereinabove.

CRAN 1 of 2025 is disposed of.
