1. The order passed in WPA 1420 of 2024 and WPA 1421 of 2024 will also cover the grievance of the writ petitioner in WPA 2339 of 2025.

2. In the present case, it appears that the Inspector in-Charge, Bhaktinagar Police Station which is under Siliguiri Police Commissionerate, District Jalpaiguri is investigating into the matter. Initially, Rajgang Police Station Case no. 332 of 2025 had been registered. Thereafter, Bhaktinagar Police Station Case no. 1081 of 2025 dated 3rd November, 2025 has been registered upon transfer of the case from the Rajgang Police Station.

3. The sum and substance of the allegations of the petitioner are the same as those made in WPA 1420 of 2024 and WPA 1421 of 2024. The IG, North Bengal has already been directed to

constitute a team of investigating officers for investigation. The subject matter of investigation and the follow up steps to be taken have already been elaborated by this court in the order passed in those two writ petitions dated January 8, 2026.

4. It is further clarified that as the case is before the Bhaktinangar Police Station at the moment, the Commissioner of Police may also be part of the S.I.T. All the investigations arise out of a similar incident which took place in the office of the Block Land and Land Reforms officer, Rajgang and the place of occurrence of the offences was also Rajgang, which is under the jurisdiction of IG, North Bengal. The order dated January 8, 2026 will cover all the investigations relating to the missing records and the illegalities which took place in the office of the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Rajgang.

5. Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of.

6. There shall be no order as to costs.

7. Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
