Case No. 75/2024 dated 26.02.2024 under Sections 498A/302 of the Indian Penal Code.

And In the matter of: Dolo Roy ....Petitioner Mr. Sudip Guha, Mr. Sandip Guha Roy, Mr. Ananda Paul ...for the Petitioner Mr. Aditi Shankar Chakraborty, Dr. Arjun Chowdhury ...for the State The petitioner prays for grant of bail on the ground of prolonged detention. The petitioner submits that 18 witnesses have been cited in the charge-sheet, but not a single witness has yet been examined.

Learned Advocates for the State produces the case diary. We have considered the post mortem report and the contents of the case diary. We also find that there is an eyewitness. Under such circumstances, the prayer for bail is rejected.

The learned trial court is requested to expedite the trial. The State is directed to cooperate with the trial court for early conclusion of the trial.
