Mr. Saha Poddar, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that on the rudiments of false allegations the petitioner has been implicated. The alleged incident occurred about 5 years after the marriage. The ingredients of Section 307 are not attracted against the petitioner and there is also no possibility that he would flee from justice. In view thereof, he may be granted anticipatory bail on any condition. Mr. Sarkar, learned advocate appearing for the State has drawn the attention of this Court to several documents in the case diary including the injury report.

Upon hearing the learned advocates and considering the materials in the case diary including the injury report, the nature of accusations and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, I am of the opinion that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not necessary. Accordingly, I direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner, namely, Manoj Kumar Mandal shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita with a further condition that the petitioner shall meet with the investigating officer once a week till completion of the investigation.

The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 865 of 2025, is disposed of.
