The petitioner has a pending representation before the Principal Secretary, Law Department, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no.2 herein whereby and whereunder the petitioner has prayed that he may be appointed as a Muslim Marriage Registrar and Kazi for the area under Sahebganj and Sitai Police Station. The said representation forms part of the writ petition appearing at page 17.

The respondent no.2 is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, particularly taking into consideration the provision of Section 2 of the Kazi Act, 1880.

A complete copy of the writ petition be served upon the said respondent.

WPA 2407 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

No affidavit since has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
