1. The learned advocate has renewed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

2. On the basis of the complaint, Moynaguri Police Station Case No.485 of 2023 dated December 22, 223 under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code, was started against the petitioner.

3. The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been languishing in custody for more than one year and the case has not yet been committed for trial.

4. The learned advocate for the State produces the case diary and opposes the prayer for bail. He submits that the case has already been committed and date has been fixed for examination of C.S.W.1.

5. Heard the learned advocates. Perused the materials on record.

6. Considering the gravity of the offence, the mode and manner in which the offence was committed and the recovery of the weapon on the basis of the disclosure statement of the petitioner, we find sufficient reason to

reject the prayer for bail. We are of the view that bail cannot be granted at this stage and accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.

7. The application for bail, being CRM (DB) 616 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of.

8. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
