...for UOI The petitioner sought certain information under the Right to Information Act, 2005. The same was intimated to the petitioner vide communication dated 22nd August, 2023.

Being aggrieved by the said communication the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition challenging the same.

The Court is of the opinion that there is a provision for appeal in the Right of Information Act, 2005 which the petitioner ought to have availed of instead of preferring the instant writ petition. The writ petition is, accordingly, not entertained. The petitioner may approach the appropriate forum for remedy, if permissible in law.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
