1. Petitioner is in custody for 170 days. He submits initially no allegation of penetrative sexual assault was leveled against him. Subsequently he has been falsely implicated. He prays for bail.
2. Learned lawyer for the State oppose the prayer.
3. We have considered the materials on record including the statement of the minor victim. Petitioner is a retired police officer. He exerted control over the victim. He compelled her to sign on blank document and blackmailed her. He also sexually exploited her. Subsequently he threatened her with dire consequences. These incriminating materials implicate the petitioner in the crime.
4. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
