Rahman ... for the State The petitioners' claim of Rs.6,31,642/- for acquisition of the petitioners' land by the respondent nos.2 to 5 being the West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited, is an admitted amount. The same would appear from an order passed by the Additional District Judge, 1st Court, Jalpaiguri on 8th May, 2018.
Learned counsel appearing for the disbursing authorities being respondent nos. 6 and 7/State respondents submits, on instructions, that the acquiring respondents have not made the funds available to the disbursing
authorities by reason of which the petitioners have remained unpaid till date.
Considering the undisputed nature of the claim and the fact that the petitioners have remained unpaid for almost five years, WPA 3377 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on all seven respondents particularly the respondent nos.2 to 5 to ensure that the amount of Rs.6,31,642/- is made available to the respondent nos.6 and 7 within eight weeks from date.
The respondent nos. 6 and 7 shall then disburse the said amount to the petitioners within three weeks from the date on which the amount is received by the respondent nos.6 and 7.
The instruction of the respondents is kept on record.
