The petitioner prays for bail primarily on the ground that grounds of arrest have not been communicated to him at the time of his arrest.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record.

It appears from the memo of arrest that grounds of arrest have been communicated to the petitioner at the time of his arrest in Bengali language.

In view of the fact that contraband article of commercial quantity has been recovered from the petitioner and in view of the statutory restriction laid down under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application being CRM 535 of 2025 is disposed of. Case Diary be returned.
