Rubel ...petitioner Ms. M Dutta Ms. Stishti Sarkar ...for the Petitioner Mr. Arijit Sarkar Ms. Namrata Das ...for the State 1.
Petitioner contends there was a romantic relationship between the parties. He prays for anticipatory bail. 2.
Learned lawyer for the State submits petitioner has threatened the de facto complainant to withdraw the case. 3.
We have considered the material on record.
Statement of victim shows she had been forcibly raped. She was hospitalized. That apart, during pendency of the application there are allegations of threat.
4.
Under such circumstances we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.
Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Gaurang Kanth, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
