State and the de facto complainant are represented. Materials in the Case Diary suggest that, the petitioner is involved in inducing members of the public on the false pretext of investment in a so-called rice mill. Apparently, petitioner is instrumental in raking up a sum of Rs. 1.20 crores from the members of the pubic on such account.

In view of the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner as transpiring from the materials in the Case Diary, need for custodial interrogation of the petitioner cannot be overlooked.
