The petitioners submit that the time tables which had been fixed way bank sometime in early 1990 require revision, upon taking into consideration the ground reality, namely, congestion accidents, business competition etc.

It appears that the petitioners had approached the Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Transport Department. By a letter dated November 1, 2022 the matter was referred to the District Magistrate and Chairman, Regional Transport Authority, Siliguiri for a decision and necessary action, upon considering the grievance of the petitioners.

The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondent No.3, Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Darjeeling to treat the writ petition as a representation of the petitioners and dispose of the same upon hearing a representative of the petitioners. A reasoned order shall be passed and the same shall be communicated to the petitioners. If the authorities are satisfied with the contentions of the petitioners, necessary revision of the time table shall be undertaken. If the authority finds that the contentions of the petitioners are neither logical nor reasonable, such reasons shall be disclosed in the order.

This Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner.

The entire issue shall be decided within a period of three months from date.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
