Petitioner has ventilated grievance that in spite of having Computer Literacy Training Program for a student of class VIII from a reputed institute he was adjudged not eligible for the post of Office Assistant/Clerks-cum-Receptionist-cum-data-Entry Operator (Typist) based on the certificate which is at page 9 of the writ petition.

Learned advocate representing the respondent authorities submits that in terms of the notification inviting application from eligible candidates dated 3rd September, for the post of Office

Assistant/Clerks-cum-Receptionist-cum-Data Entry Operator (Typist) a candidate has to submit self attested copy of the Computer Pass Certificate having undergone at least 6 (six) months course from any Government recognized institution.

According to the respondent authorities the certificate at page 9 of the writ petition does not comply with the qualification as stipulated in the notification dated 3rd September, 2024.

Taking note of the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties and eligibility criteria as fixed by the respondent authorities vide a notice dated 3rd September, 2024 it appears that petitioner is lacking such qualification since the certificate at page 9 goes to show that petitioner participated in Computer Literacy Training Program being a student of class VIII but the said certificate does not inculcate skill as required in terms of notification dated 3rd September, 2024. Said notification dated 3rd September, 2024 specifically prescribes that the candidate must be having basic word processing skills and ability to operate computer.

In view of aforesaid scenario no relief can be granted to the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed.

Copy of the notification dated 3rd September, 2024 is taken on record.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
