1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner claims to be the widower of an Assistant Teacher of a primary school who died-inharness on 12th December, 1997. The widower prays for a direction upon the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Coochbehar to consider his prayer for changing over from the Contributory Provident Fund Scheme to the Gratuity and Pension Scheme.

3. The Court is of the opinion that as the employee died-in-harness way back in the year 1997, late in the year 2025 the prayer of the widower seeking conversion of the scheme in which the employee was covered cannot be allowed.

4. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
