Petitioner(s) Mr. Hillol Saha Podder ... for the petitioner(s) Mr. Tapan Bhattacharjee Mr. Dhimal Sil ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the marriage was solemnized in the year 2017 and the petitioner being the husband has been implicated by exaggerating facts of demand of dowry. There are accusations of pressing the pillow and the same are not substantiated in material particulars.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary including the injury report.

I have considered the injury report and I am of the view that although a criminal case is made out but custodial detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted. Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, I direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer of the case and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. and/or under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Accordingly, CRM(A) 965 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
