APP Ms. Namrata Das ... for the State-respondent(s) Ms. Riya Agarwal ... for the defacto-complainant(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that there has been change of circumstances, as, subsequently, statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P,.C./Section 183 of the BNSS has been recorded.

I find that, earlier, the present petitioner preferred an application for anticipatory bail. However, by a reasoned order, the Hon'ble Division Bench in CRM(A) 872 of 2024 was pleased to reject the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Subsequently, a revisional application being CRR 274 of 2025 was preferred.

Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary as also the statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C./Section 183 of the BNSS.

I have perused and considered the same.

Having regard to the contents of the statement that no reasons have been assigned, for the interest of justice, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the present petitioner.

Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

However, if the petitioner appears before the learned Magistrate and/or the learned trial court in seisin of the case and prays for bail, the same be considered leniently. Accordingly, CRM(A) 970 of 2025 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
