The State of West Bengal and others Mr. Sankar Nath Mukherjee Mr. Niraj Gupta Ms. Mousumi Das Mr. Swarup Das ... for the petitioner Mr. Pretom Das Mr. Sumit Kumar ... for the State The petitioner is aggrieved by certain actions of Shri Uttam Kumar Das, the then Revenue Officer, attached to the Office of BL&LRO, Rajganj, in allegedly creating false record of rights in favour of some persons. The petitioner approached the higher authorities with his complaint and necessary orders were passed by the higher authorities.

The Additional District Magistrate and District Land & Land Reforms Officer, Jalpaiguri shall intimate the petitioner, whether steps have been taken pursuant to the direction of the Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Department of Land & Land Reforms and Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation in respect of the complaint against Shri Uttam Kumar Das, the

then Revenue Officer, office of the BL&LRO, Rajganj, Jalpaiguri, presently posted at the office of the DL&LRO, Balurghat, Dakshin Dinajpur.

The letter dated October 14, 2022 is selfexplanatory. An enquiry report was also directed to be submitted before the authority.

The petitioner contends that no steps have yet been taken, although several directions were issued by the Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Department of Land & Land Reforms and Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation. The petitioner seeks implementation of the said letter by filing the writ petition.

Such intimation shall reach the petitioner, within a month from the date of communication of this order.

This court has not expressed any opinion on the issues involved. The petitioner only has a right to know whether the ADM(LR) has complied with the directions of the Deputy Secretary, Land and Land Reforms Department.

The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
