The investigating officer of the case pursuant to the direction dated 06.01.2026 is present. He was directed to interact and record the statement of the victim girl.

The investigating officer of the case today has recorded the statement of the victim wherein it reflects that the victim and the accused/Palash Deb Singha are married. Having considered that there may be reverse social ramification because of curtailment of liberty under such compelling circumstances, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail.

Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, I direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer of the case and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. and/or under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

A copy of the report enclosing the statement of the victim girl identified by the investigating officer of the case be kept with the record.

The investigating officer of the case is personally present in court. His further appearance before this court for the day is dispensed with.

Accordingly, CRM(A) 998 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
