1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today, is taken on record.

2. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Executive Engineer, Cooch Behar (AgriMech) Division to treat the writ petition as a representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law. A hearing shall be given to the petitioner. The petitioner will be entitled to produce all relevant documents. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated. If the petitioner fulfils all the eligibility criteria and there is an operational scheme for granting compassionate appointment, such appointment should be granted. If the petitioner does not fulfil the criteria or in the event such appointment cannot be given for any other reason, such reason shall be

communicated to the petitioner in the reasoned order.

3. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of this order.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.

5. Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
