The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the police authority.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that though a complaint was lodged by the petitioner on 08.07.2013, but no effective steps have been taken by the police authorities apart from registration of the FIR.

He further submits that no person have been arrested till date.

Mr. Paul, learned advocate for the State led by Mr. Barman files a report of the Inspector-in-Charge, Dinhata Police Station dated January 02, 2024. It appears from the said report that on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner Dinhata Police Station Case No.345 of 2023 dated 08.07.2023 under Sections 448/341/326/307/379/506/34 of the Indian Penal

Code read with Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act has been registered.

Upon going through the said report it further appears that one of the main accused person, namely, Saiful Ali Miya has been arrested on 18th August, 2023 and he was taken in police remand. It further appears that on 31st December, 2023 another FIR named accused person, namely, Tapan Ch. Das was also arrested.

This court, therefore, finds that steps have been taken by the police authority pursuant to the written complaint made by the petitioner.

WPA 2933 of 2023 stands disposed of by directing the investigating officer to conclude the investigation expeditiously.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned advocates for the parties on usual formalities.
