The Court : GA/3/2023 is an application seeking to settle the disputes under the provisions of Section 4A of the West Bengal Sales Tax (Settlement of DisputeS) Act, 1999. The application is at the behest of the privaterespondent. The private-respondent seeks to settle disputes within the meaning of the Act of 1999 and seeks leave to do so.

The prayer for settlement made by the private respondent is not opposed on behalf of the State.

In such circumstances, leave under Section 4A of the Act of 1999 is granted to the private-respondent to enter into settlement with the State.

GA/3/2023 is disposed of accordingly.

In view of the private respondent seeking to settle the disputes under the Act of 1999, the appeal being APO/115/2018 becomes infructuous and is, thus, disposed of. All connected applications in the appeal are also disposed of.
