...for the respondent The Court: This is the second extension for the Arbitrator's mandate under Section 29-A(4) of the 1996 Act. The first extension was given on 7th February, 2023 by a Co-ordinate Bench. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner (claimant in the Arbitration) submits that the mandate was subsisting as on the date of making of the application. The mandate is due to expire on 7th February, 2024.

Counsel also prays that a substantial extension be given considering nature and extent of the subject-matter of the Arbitration which is a family dispute.

AP-COM/30/2024 is accordingly allowed and disposed of by extending the mandate of the learned Arbitrator for six months from 7th February, 2024. The affidavit of service is taken on record.
